SERVICE SUPPLITION PROCEDURE
for the Diploma Programme
of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK)
1. Sign up MyCIM
1.1. The Client independently signs up MyCIM (www.cim.co.uk), and gets the membership number and the authorization code from the CIM Qualifications Department (sent by email within a month after the start of the Programme). Username and password should be kept by the Client for each visit to the site.
1.2. Through the MyCIM the Client receives:
- access to the CIM resources and educational materials,
- the opportunity to book the CIM session (to submit assessments),
- results of the CIM session,
- the opportunity to book the webinars and the other CIM events,
- make purchases through the CIM online store.
1.3. The MyCIM displays the membership validity date and the Client must timely renew it and keeps the contact information (postal and email address) actualized. If the contact information is changed, the Client must personally amend the data in the profile and inform the Study Centre about these changes.

1.4. The Study Centre is not responsible for blocking the Client's personal account due to data late submission or invalid data.
2. Booking the CIM session
2.1. For the CIM Diploma the Client must successfully pass the CIM sessions after each of the three Programme Modules.
2.2. The final evaluation of each Programme Module is a written assessment. The Programme comprises three assessments: for Marketing & Digital Strategy Module, for Resource Management Module, and for Innovation in Marketing Module.
2.3. The Client has the opportunity to submit an assessment for verification to the CIM only within the deadlines established by the CIM.
2.4. The Client's assessment is not evaluated by the CIM and is not approved without booking the CIM session.
2.5. The Client must independently book the CIM session through the MyCIM profile. The Study Centre does not book the CIM sessions.
2.6. After processing book-requests, the CIM sends an Assessment Entry Confirmation to the Client by email. If the Client books one session for two or more assessments (for example, two Modules at once), he (or she) must receive two or more confirmation emails. The Client must forward this email/emails to the Study Centre.
2.7. If the Client has not received confirmation of booking within a month after the deadline for online booking the CIM session, he (or she) must inform the Study Centre to make sure that booking an appropriate CIM session is carried out.
3. CIM session
3.1. The Client receives from the Tutor an individual consultation by the established deadline.
3.2. Assessment must comply with the CIM requirements defined in the assignments and the CIM recommendations.
3.3. For submitting an assessment, the Client uploads it to the CIM online submission platform within the established time limit. After approval by the Study Centre, an assessment is sent for evaluation.
3.4. If fees have not been paid by the Client, the Study Centre has the right to refuse approval of the assessment.
3.5. The grades "Distinction" (70-100%), "Merit" (60-69%), "Pass" (50-59%) should be interpreted as satisfactory, and the grades "Fail" (1-49%), “Null and Void”(0%) as unsatisfactory. The Module is credited, and the CIM session is considered passed only if satisfactory grades are obtained.
4. Retake the CIM session
4.1. If the Client’s assessment is evaluated with an unsatisfactory grade, the Study Centre supplies the following opportunity to:
4.1.1. Take a new set of consulting services for uncredited Module for discounted price,
and/or
4.1.2. Submit a new assessment in the next session according to the CIM schedule - with a new booking of a CIM session and payment of the CIM fee.
4.2. The Study Centre can offer the Client additional tutor consultation for an additional fee.
4.3. For retaking a CIM session, in addition to the CIM booking fee and/or the membership renewal fee, the Client must pay the Study Centre an administrative fee.
5. Applying for a Deferral
5.1. If the Client has booked the CIM session, but not be able to submit an assessment by the published deadline for a valid reason, he (or she) must as soon as possible notify the Study Centre and apply a Deferral to save the booking.
5.2. In order to apply for a Deferral, the Client must fill a Deferral Claim Form (established form) and send the Study Centre, added documentary evidence of valid reasons excluding the assessment submission.
The CIM approves only medical reasons as valid (serious injury, illness, or death or serious illness of a close family member, pregnancy, childbirth, etc.), so the Client must email to the Study Centre a scan of a medical certificate or sick voucher (translated into English).
5.3. The Study Centre reviews the submitted documents and sends them to the CIM. The CIM considers the request and, in case of a positive decision, sends to the Client confirmation of a Deferral.
For a Deferral, the Client must pay the CIM administrative fee. Detailed information on processing and submitting a request for a Deferral was published in the CIM information materials.
5.4. The Client who applied for a Deferral does not book a CIM session again, valid booking is automatically transferred to the next session.
